At Glastonbury last year they had a silent disco. They gave headsets to people at the entrance, but there were 2 different sets playing the music of 2 different DJs. The result was random eruptions of ecstasy by people around you when you least expected it, because they were listening to a pumping crescendo by the other DJ. And vice-versa of course. It was awesome...

I heard the music even when I accidentally danced so hard the earphones fell off....
